Two longtime friends with a shared passion for auto detailing founded the Balconyboyz. During the pandemic, John lost his sales job and teamed up with Joel in his auto detailing business. As lockdowns strained the shop, the duo was forced to pivot. That’s when they decided to start a home cleaning service, quickly discovering an unexpected gap in the market: balcony cleaning.

Their first attempts were modest, relying on a simple mop and bucket, but the results weren’t up to their standards. Switching to a cordless pressure washer improved the cleaning process, but led to a new challenge: water runoff. Determined to overcome it, they experimented with various methods to syphon the water. After multiple prototypes and plenty of trial and error, they finally developed a functional water reclamation system.

 

Combining this innovative solution with Joel’s decade of detailing experience and John’s exceptional people skills, Balconyboyz launched the first dedicated balcony detailing service—and people love it.
